WOW!

Checked the weather for tomorrow a few minutes ago. It had one word---WOW! Maybe it's a good omen for Yttrium's performance tomorrow evening.

All the drums are packed, the cameras are all loaded with tapes and batteries, all the memory cards are cleared...everything is ready to go!

Almost Game Time!

The boys met this evening to rehearse. They played through the show twice and polished a few more rough edges. It should be a great show!

This past weekend, the boys had a performance at a party here in Bridgeport. This was the first time Nick's drum riser had ever been used on a gig. Everything worked as planned. Ben even climbed up onto it during the performance to "heighten" his abilities. The first song from their first set is finished being edited: "Spirit of Radio". The boys watched that this evening and liked the way it looked and sounded.

Also today, a newspaper article appeared in the Clarksburg Exponent-Telegram talking about Yttrium and another local band, M@il on Sunday. We looked at the web site traffic, and apparently the article had an effect. We've been hearing about it all day!

Two more days till the Battle of the Bands. We've got our tickets. Do you have yours?

BHS Talent Show April 27, 2009

Yttrium played "Spirit of Radio" and "Johnny B. Goode" for the high school talent show and won "Most Talented." Awesome!

New Songs

Yttrium learned some new songs to add to their repertoire to play during the high school basketball games. Earlier this month, they played before one of the girl's basketball games and during half-time. They will play at a boy's basketball game on February 17th.

Christmas---Yttrium Style

Yttrium had an all Christmas program prepared for a holiday concert in December, but due to a bad snowstorm---they were asked if they could play a full thirty minute show. They added several of their "old-reliables" to the program mixed in with the Christmas tunes.
